Your responsibilities

• Reporting to the Director of Power Portfolio Strategy and Optimization
• Steering the profitability of the wholesale Uniper Power business across Nordics, UK, and CEE by understanding and influencing commercial risk exposures
• Developing and implementing hedging strategies for the Group’s power portfolio to balance risk and reward
• Considering implications on credit and liquidity risks within frameworks
• Overseeing and challenging individual portfolio’s hedging strategies aligning with Group risk boundaries and financial goals
• Validating position, PnL, and risk reports, and ensuring the accuracy of mathematical models
• Managing stakeholder relationships within CCO Power and across Uniper, ensuring alignment of hedging approaches
• Building trust by creating transparency of risks and positions across the power business
• Leading a team of experts, managing team performance, and ensuring effective, financially successful operations

Your profile

• Degree in engineering, economics, mathematics, or related field; additional commercial qualification is a plus
• At least five years’ experience in trading and optimization with P&L responsibility
• Leadership experience, preferably in a commercial environment
• Strong knowledge of energy markets and financial hedging instruments
• Understanding of IT applications for optimization and trading
• Intercultural and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication skills tailored to diverse audiences
• Experience in an international setting
• Ability to drive change and achieve results
• Fluent in English; additional EU languages are a plus
