Description

The Chief Financial Office is responsible for providing accurate, timely, complete and independent reporting of DWS’ financial position to internal and external stakeholders. It also defines the strategic agenda, including resource allocation, drives the delivery of DWS’ strategic objectives, and evaluates DWS’ performance to inform decision making.

Divisional Control Oversight (DCO) ensures the integrity of financial and regulatory reporting, procurement, and risk management activities, providing thought leadership and independent challenge within DWS CFO and the wider organization.

Role Details

As a Business Control Officer, you will:

1. Validate and approve control findings at various stages, including raising and closing Self Identified Issues.
2. Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of the DWS control framework.
3. Promote a proactive control mindset through training and communication.
4. Assist DCO with ad-hoc tasks such as meeting preparation and documentation.
5. Report monthly on control metrics and issues.
6. Conduct control deep dives and testing on focus areas.
7. Serve as a key contact and SME for control topics within DWS CFO.

Candidate Requirements

• University degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in controls within Finance, Audit, Risk, or Procurement; accounting qualification is a plus.
• Project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
