Does empowering Entrepreneurs, who are shaping the Deep Tech ecosystem with novel and disruptive technologies, excite you? ZEISS Ventures, a unit within the ZEISS Group, identifies start-ups that challenge and advance technological frontiers in fields such as Robotics, Tissue Engineering, Augmented/Virtual Reality, and Innovative Vision Care solutions. We are looking for an Investment Manager to identify market-shaping trends that are disruptive or transformative for ZEISS and turn them into successful ventures.

Responsibilities include:

1. Working closely with strategic players and thought leaders to identify megatrends.
2. Executing the entire investment process from deal sourcing, due diligence, analysis, structuring, to closing, and managing portfolio companies to maximize their potential, including exits.
3. Networking and cultivating internal partnerships within ZEISS to secure funding and resources, supporting investment opportunities and shaping innovation strategies.
4. Engaging actively in the venture capital community internally and externally to drive innovative ideas and methods.
5. Taking on increasing responsibilities in running and expanding ZEISS's external ventures activities.

Your profile

Several years of relevant experience in a high-performance environment (Venture Capital, Start-up, Strategy Consulting, etc.), working on the entire investment process with a focus on Deep Tech and/or Healthcare verticals.

Background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Life Sciences/Healthcare, ideally combined with an MBA or similar business qualification.

Entrepreneurial experience in a start-up is a plus.

Ability to influence stakeholders up to C-Level and external Venture Capital communities.

Passion and keen interest in industry-defining innovations within Deep Tech and Healthcare sectors.
