This position is located at the Child Development Center, Ansbach Germany.

Duties
  1. Supervise children and youth aged from 6 weeks to 18 years during indoor and outdoor activities, field trips, outings, and special events.
  2. Plan, coordinate, and conduct activities based on observed needs; prepare program options for children with special requirements.
  3. Instruct team members, provide written instructions, and explain policies and procedures.
  4. Use evaluation materials to ensure compliance with DoD and local standards, maintaining certifications and accreditation.
  5. Complete required training modules and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  1. Must be 18 years old at employment.
  2. Require Direct Deposit and Social Security Card.
  3. Meet physical, eligibility, and background requirements.
  4. Have a current health assessment, immunizations, and be free from communicable diseases.
  5. A one-year probationary period may be required.
  6. Complete Lead Foundation Level training and annual training.
  7. Work hours may include evenings and weekends.
  8. Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs., walk, bend, and stand routinely.
  9. Legally required to report child abuse/neglect.
  10. Trained individuals must administer medications, perform CPR/first aid, and accommodate children with special needs.
  11. Travel may be required.
  12. Work involves indoor and outdoor activities.
  13. Complete background checks as per AR 215-3 and Childcare Tier 1 requirements.
Qualifications

All candidates must:

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Additional requirements:

  • Hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, Military School Age Credential, Army Youth Practicum, or other recognized Youth Development Credential, or
  • Have two years of experience in a group program with children/youth plus an associate's degree or 60 semester hours in a relevant field, or
  • Hold a bachelor's degree or 120 semester hours with relevant coursework, or
  • Have 24 months of work in a childcare/youth program with DoD competency training.

Highly preferred qualifications include experience with accreditation processes, program inspections, working with varied age groups, or mentoring staff.
