About the team
In this position, you will be part of our Chapter Data & AI Engineering. The chapter represents all experts who deliver data and AI engineering capabilities to our product teams. These experts are organized together to enhance those functional skillsets, improve E.ON’s MLOps & AIOps tech stack, and deliver a high level of data delivery & model automation.
The products you will be working on belong to our team Digital Solutions I Future Energy Home. This team develops and operates software to manage home energy devices such as photovoltaic, inverters, batteries, EV charging wall boxes, heat pumps, and meters as a cloud-based solution for our central and local units so they can rollout those solutions to the end-customers. We integrate with numerous vendors’ devices and apply centralized insights, analytics, and control mechanisms for these devices.
Meaningful & challenging - Your tasks
- Enhance decision-making processes in the home energy management systems domain by delivering data analysis.
- Design, build, and deploy predictive models and algorithms; ensure scalability and integration with existing systems and processes.
- Oversee data science projects from conception to deployment and their ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure timely delivery and adherence to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with other departments and business units while working in cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data.
Authentic & ambitious - Your profile
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Long-term and profound experience in data science or a related field, with a proven track record of leading successful data-driven projects.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python, and experience with data manipulation tools (SQL, Pandas) and machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence business decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategies.
We provide full flexibility:
- Work from home or any other place in Germany, including offices from Hamburg to Munich. Up to 20 days per year workation within Europe.
