Join as a Founder in Residence in Climate

We're seeking entrepreneurial individuals with technical and commercial expertise, keen interest in founding, to build a high-impact, scalable company from the ground up. We invite applications from experienced professionals worldwide to work on eliminating toxicity from food contact materials. You will collaborate with the DSV team to spin out a new venture, covering all aspects of venture creation, from approach development to team building and business case formation. Post-incorporation, you and co-founders will hold the majority stake and receive ongoing support.

The role is full-time, initially remote until venture spin-out (around summer/autumn 2026), location TBD.

About The Opportunity Area

While we routinely assess food's sugar, salt, and fat content, we often overlook chemical contamination from food contact materials. Food can be a source of toxic chemicals linked to serious health issues. Our goal is to eliminate such toxins, safeguarding billions of people.

The Challenge

• Human exposure from farm to mouth, with toxins leaching from various materials.
• Supply chain complexity, reliance on plastics, and waste issues.
• Transition paradox: safer materials often have their own issues.
• Recycling paradox: current processes may increase toxicity.

Our Approach

We see high potential in developing alternatives such as non-toxic bioplastics, advanced materials, supply chain redesign, and safer coatings and additives.

Requirements

Looking for a visionary founder with expertise in polymers, bioplastics, or sustainable packaging, with a track record in bringing new materials or ventures to market. Experience in sustainability, food packaging, or related fields is a plus. Strong understanding of market, regulatory landscapes, and a passion for eliminating toxicity are essential.
