Job Title: Director Supply Chain (Pharma Delivery) (M/F/D)

Position Summary

The Supply Chain function is responsible for all S&OP, Planning, Customer Service, Master Data, Procurement (Operational Buyers), and Inventory Control functions at Catalent, Schorndorf. The position oversees all activities and personnel within the Supply Chain function, providing leadership for Customer Services, Planning, S&OP, Master Data, and Material Management.

Responsibilities include coordinating and implementing activities to attain strategic objectives within the department, establishing goals and objectives, supervising work practices for direct reports, interpreting and executing policies and procedures, and interacting with senior leadership to plan and execute site strategy aligned with corporate vision and objectives.

The Role

1. Develop and execute site Supply Chain strategy aligned with Business, Operations, and Quality Strategy.
2. Manage commercial supply agreements, ensuring high service levels and on-time delivery to customers.
3. Resolve servicing issues through strong cross-functional S&OP processes.
4. Implement and manage planning and S&OP functions for optimal processing of customer orders.
5. Collaborate with operations and quality to develop production/laboratory capacity plans for medium and long-term strategies.
6. Negotiate and manage supply agreements, coordinating Supply Chain activities with customers.
7. Act as the interface with customers and the Operations Team, contributing to logistics and planning strategy development and implementation.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

1. MS degree (preferred) with over 10 years’ experience in strategic and operational leadership in a customer-driven planning and logistics environment.
2. Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (CDMO preferred), with SLT/Board responsibility for Supply Chain.
3. Experience managing Supply Chain in an ERP environment (such as JD Edwards), including system implementation.
4. Significant experience managing people and providing tactical and strategic leadership.
5. Ability to develop long-term customer relationships across different cultures.
