The research focuses on how prominent PDAC driver mutations influence the secretion and cargo content of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs, exosomes) to mediate intercellular communication within the tumor microenvironment and with metastatic niches.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to engage in extracellular vesicle research and elucidate intercellular communication networks in pancreatic cancer. Candidates are expected to participate in the structured curriculum of the International Graduate School in Molecular Medicine Ulm (IGradU) PhD training program to obtain a PhD or Dr. rer. nat. degree.
