Job Description:

Purpose of the position

Outbound Logistics involves the processes of physical customer order processing, from picking, packing, and dispatching in the warehouse to transportation and delivery to the customer. The responsibilities include:

  • Establishing, improving, maintaining, and sharing group-wide harmonized logistics management standards (Policies and Guidelines, Processes, Systems/Tools, KPIs, Best Practices).
  • Driving and supporting business performance improvements.
  • Leading capability building across the group in the area of expertise: advising, coaching, training.
  • Optimizing and promoting end-to-end / group-wide supply chain alignment and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • As Group Process Owner: Own the Outbound Logistics “One Template” solution, including process, application configuration, roles, and standards. Lead your expert network and support the “Order-to-Cash” core process network. Collaborate with adjacent processes for end-to-end optimization. Drive continuous improvement of the template. Promote process adherence through assessments and audits. Maintain documentation and support training. Support troubleshooting and defect resolution.
  • As Subject Matter Expert (SME): Analyze performance/KPIs, identify opportunities, and lead initiatives for root-cause analysis and solutions. Participate in business improvement projects and support the rollout of the One Template with Roll-out Managers.
  • As Management Unit (MU) Business Partner: Collaborate with the assigned management unit to monitor supply chain performance, define improvement actions, and connect with internal experts.
  • Qualifications include a university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields, with specialization or certification in Supply Chain Management being desirable.
  • Experience of 8-10 years in supply chain and logistics, preferably in FMCG sector within a multi-market European environment, including in-house consulting experience.
  • Experience managing customer order fulfillment, focusing on warehousing and distribution/transportation, supported by modern IT systems (ERP, WMS, TMS) and digital technologies.
  • Knowledge of related processes like customer service/order management and load-carriers/pallets management.
  • Knowledge of EU logistics regulations and policies.
  • Familiarity with Lean Management concepts and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • An entrepreneurial, proactive mindset with a “think big” attitude.

Willingness to travel: Up to 50% of the time.
