If you have a passion for microbiology and an interest in electronic data evaluation, this position may be perfect for you. As a Senior Technician, you will operate as a specialist in phenotypic identification of microorganisms using images. The bioburden recoveries are acquired during product quality control and environmental monitoring of cleanrooms at production sites globally. You will take independent responsibility for the administration, including resource planning of the global microID (microbial Identification), and carry out these identifications. Additionally, you will process results through trend analyses and generate global in-house strain lists. You will lead the updating and maintenance of the microbiological reference database of a proprietary WEST program and support communication with an external identification laboratory. These tasks are mainly digital and involve proactive communication to ensure timely processing. The role is suitable for hybrid work, with minimal preparatory work required daily.
