About the role

We are looking for a Business Developer to build a strong seller lead pipeline across our superclusters in the DACH region. You will convince sellers to offer quality objects via our platform, and provide prospects with a great onboarding experience. You are responsible for generating sustainable revenue opportunities by turning new sellers into committed and fast-growing sellers ready to move to Account Management teams.

What you’ll do
  • Identify, qualify and develop leads through call, email, field visits, fair visits and expert collaboration
  • Identify and reactivate high potential dormant sellers and organic sign-ups
  • Qualify inbound leads by working with data and sales tooling
  • Facilitate a frictionless pre and post-sales experience for new sellers
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with new sellers to expand your network
  • In cooperation with experts, quickly learn the important characteristics of categories
  • Select and grow high-potential new sellers
  • Move in sync with Account Managers to develop growth plan for onboarded sellers
What you’ll bring
  • Successful and active networker with the ability to establish and nurture relationships with sellers, manufacturers and distributors
  • Problem solving attitude with a data driven approach
  • A passion for the online industry or maybe you have a collection yourself and able to understand the language of our sellers
  • Open to travel on a regular base within DACH region to meet your leads and sellers
  • Familiar with G Suite tools (Google sheet, slides)
  • Experience using a sales CRM (Hubspot or any equivalent) is a plus
  • Fluent in English and German, any other languages an additional bonus!

Our Offices and Way of Working

Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire and connect. Most Catawikians are within commuting distance of one of our offices and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model. This means we typically ask you to be in the office 2 out of 5 days, roughly 40% of your working time, to collaborate and connect with your colleagues. Of course, if the job description specifies that the role is 100% remote—such as for certain expert or sales positions—then that arrangement will apply.
