Your responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Product Compliance Manager to join our team, who will play a crucial role in ensuring that our Microwave & Cleaning Appliances products meet all regulatory requirements and industry standards for the European markets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, product compliance processes, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. This position will require close collaboration with external regulatory bodies, internal teams and other stakeholders to support the launch, marketing, and ongoing compliance of our products.

Product Compliance Management in Europe:

• Oversee the compliance of products for cooking products (such as ovens, microwaves, etc.) with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., energy labelling and ecodesign, CE, REACH, RoHS, EMC, and other product specific obligations) to ensure successful market access and ongoing product safety.
• Execute regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with national and international laws, regulations, and standards for microwave and cleaning appliances products across all stages of their lifecycle (development, approval, post-market surveillance).

Additional Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation and review of regulatory documentation, including test reports, certifications, and approvals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, Legal, Marketing, and other teams to embed compliance in product development.
• Lead risk management, internal audits, and address non-compliance issues.
• Build relationships with industry stakeholders, participate in standardisation groups, and represent Midea in industry initiatives.
• Responsible for home appliance product innovation, structural design, and technical support during R&D.

Your profile

• Master's degree or higher in mechanical design, mold design, mechanical automation, or related fields.
• At least 6 years of experience in safety compliance management and product structure design for home appliances.
• Knowledge of European regulatory frameworks (e.g., CE, RoHS, REACH, energy directives).
• Experience with regulatory documentation and certifications.
• Familiarity with product development standards, testing, and safety regulations.
• Understanding of material properties, structural design, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and with authorities.
• Proficiency in ProE (Creo), AutoCAD, and other design software.
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
