As an Area Manager, you'll ensure your site operates smoothly to meet customer demand. You will lead a team to maintain safety, efficiency, and high quality, and manage various projects across our network to boost productivity.

2. Analyze and implement changes to maintain high quality and productivity levels
3. Manage projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and enhance customer service quality within your area
4. Assess shift performance against business objectives and implement improvements for operational excellence

A day in the life

You will work night shifts at one of our sites, focusing on maximizing productivity. Your main duties include fostering a safety culture, maintaining quality and performance standards, overseeing process improvements, and driving their implementation. Your day will be diverse, ranging from team management and operational tasks to process improvement and contingency planning. You will also serve as a role model and mentor for new managers.

About the team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) handles heavy items such as furniture and large appliances. Our team manages the entire process from supply chain fulfillment to delivery and returns, providing exceptional customer care by unpacking, assembling, installing, and recycling old items. We are innovating in safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction, and have plans to expand our facilities across the UK and Europe. Our team includes professionals from operations, supply chain, business intelligence, and project management, all vital to our growth.

Required experience includes communication with diverse stakeholders, data-driven decision-making, proficiency in English and local language, and experience with Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques.
