Your Role

The vision of the Omnichannel Sales (OCS) organization is to enable online sales of complete spectacles to our customers (ECPs). The OCS Marketplace will be a B2B2C marketplace delivering best-in-class shopping experience to consumers and easy-to-use, self-service onboarding and management processes for customers (opticians). You will be the responsible Product Owner for the B2B2C marketplace. The marketplace is a key part of ZEISS Vision Care’s channel strategy, enabling our customers (opticians) to succeed with consumers seeking online spectacle purchases. In this role, you will significantly contribute to growing the online channel for our customers and ZEISS Vision Care.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Being a stakeholder in Omnichannel Sale’s design and strategy process to understand market demands and consumer desires, assessing viability for ZEISS Vision Care’s strategy, and discussing feasibility for the marketplace.
  2. Deriving, structuring, and prioritizing features and user stories, managing the backlog.
  3. Collaborating with UI/UX specialists to ensure features meet high user experience standards.
  4. Coordinating the cross-functional implementation of new features for an international marketplace.
  5. Guiding and instructing the Development Team and managing technical dependencies.
  6. Applying hybrid software development methodologies.
  7. Ensuring bug-free software releases that meet customer and internal expectations, with a focus on on-time delivery within iteration cycles.
  8. Aligning closely with the Head of Marketplace on feature priorities, product strategy, and technological roadmap.
  9. Collaborating with other product owners on feature dependencies and market expectations.
  10. Ensuring timely rollout of marketplace features.
  11. Supporting data and analytics activities to enable evidence-based decision-making regarding consumer and customer behavior.

Your Profile

Qualifications include:

  1. University degree in medical, computer science, engineering, business informatics, business information systems engineering, or a relevant adjacent field; or a business degree with strong technology experience.
  2. 4+ years of experience in software product development, particularly with agile methodologies for complex products, with a proven track record of successful launches and operations.
  3. Knowledge of agile frameworks (SCRUM, SAFe) and tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  4. Strong result orientation, self-driven, and autonomous working style.
  5. Entrepreneurial spirit and data-driven mentality.
  6. Passion for consumer-facing, eCommerce-driven digital products that enhance conversion and user engagement.
  7. Ability to manage and steer projects across cross-functional, intercultural teams.
  8. Excellent communication skills, reliability, self-organization, and multi-tasking abilities.
  9. Willingness to take responsibility and make decisions.
  10. Fluency in English (written and spoken); German language skills are desirable.
  11. Willingness to travel internationally and work across different time zones.
