POSITION SUMMARY

The Group Country Manager DACH will be responsible for all commercially related activities within Germany, Austria, & Switzerland (DACH). This includes developing strategic plans, tactical initiatives, personnel management, and close communication and cooperation with interdepartmental stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of Oncology-related Sales and Marketing experience, with a proven track record in commercializing Oncology Pharma products and/or molecular diagnostics / IVD in the DACH region, and a history of delivering results efficiently.

Previous experience as a Country Manager or an equivalent role is strongly preferred.

This position reports to the Senior Director Europe Direct.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Provide effective leadership and strategic direction for DACH to advance our corporate presence and expand the market for Exact Sciences' portfolio. Responsible for all commercialization activities, including strategy, marketing, sales, governmental affairs, operations, and reimbursement.
• Manage the region-specific P&L.
• Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, including attracting and retaining top talent, fostering a high-performance culture, leading with integrity, humility, accountability, and courage, and setting a clear vision to energize teams.
• Lead the commercial team in DACH, including performance appraisals, target setting, personnel selection, retention initiatives, and mentoring.
• Develop and execute country-specific strategic and tactical plans to maximize opportunities through focused resourcing.
• Build an effective team of employees, consultants, and vendors to support business objectives, working closely with relevant departments within Exact Sciences.
• Develop relationships with key customers, KOLs, and stakeholders to support business growth. Establish partnerships to maximize opportunities.
• Collaborate with Medical Societies and Regional Authorities to support patient access.
• Contribute to long-term corporate planning, including forecasts and resource allocation.
• Work with functions such as Communications, Regulatory Affairs, Medical, Legal, HR, and Finance.
• Stay informed about market and environmental changes by gathering competitive intelligence and incorporating insights into strategic plans.
• Monitor sales metrics and direct sales activities as needed to achieve goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 10 years of Oncology-related Sales and Marketing experience, preferably with international pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or lab companies, with several years as a Country Manager preferred.
• Advanced degree required; MBA or PhD strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of oncology product commercialization and molecular diagnostics in the country; IVD experience is a plus.
• Proven leadership in managing personnel with both direct and indirect reports, and experience working across departments in an international environment.
• Experience as a Country Manager with expertise in Market Access, reimbursement, and contracting is highly desirable.
