We are a company that plays a vital role in the automotive and transportation industries by providing high-tech solutions and controls. Our products ensure efficient processes in automotive manufacturing and safely operate locomotives, high-speed trains, and S-bahns. To strengthen our development team, we are looking for an engaged Software Developer (m/f/d) in full-time, starting immediately at our locations in Weinstadt and Cologne.

Responsibilities:

1. Further development and maintenance of our in-house Linux distribution based on Yocto
2. Adapting the generic Yocto image for new products (creating and adjusting Yocto recipes, porting device trees and bootloaders, possibly kernel driver development)
3. Supporting the development of Linux applications
4. Conducting security analyses and identifying vulnerabilities in existing systems
5. Collaborating with the development team to integrate security requirements into the development process
6. Creating documentation and IT security policies for development projects

Requirements:

1. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
2. Experience in embedded systems development and comprehensive knowledge of Linux platforms
3. Knowledge of implementing security standards
4. Experience in identifying and fixing security vulnerabilities in Linux-based systems
