Within the European Hub in the Transformers Business Unit, we have a product portfolio including Power, Distribution, Dry, and Traction transformers, as well as components like bushings, tap changers, and insulation, used worldwide for electrical energy conversion. We are seeking an Engineering Quality Specialist to drive quality excellence within our Engineering organization across Hub Europe, focusing on a specific Product Line.

You will report directly to the Hub Europe Quality Manager and be based in one of our production facilities: Roigheim (DE), Bad Honnef (DE), Cordoba (ESP), Monselice (IT), Vaasa (FI), Ludvika (SE), or Lodz (PL). Please note that no relocation assistance is provided.

Your responsibilities

1. Support the development of DFMEA through training and practical application.
2. Identify critical-to-quality engineering deliverables.
3. Enhance review culture, processes, and methods.
4. Establish control mechanisms along engineering processes and ensure adherence (evaluation of deliverables, process outputs, and throughputs).
5. Ensure Verification and Validation practices are effective (e.g., Quality Inspection Cards - QICs, Envelope of Confidence - EoCs, test results).
6. Ensure engineering processes are fit for purpose and adhered to by all units within the Product Line.

Your background

1. Master's degree in Engineering or a related relevant discipline.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating strong drive and leadership in a Quality Management position within an engineering environment.
3. Hands-on experience in an electro-mechanical or related industry as a Quality Engineer or Specialist, with expertise in problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis using various methodologies.
4. Strong knowledge of processes and methods such as PPAP, APQP, Lean Six Sigma, and tools like Ishikawa, FTA, FMEA, QFD.
5. Excellent interpersonal, multi-cultural skills, and soft skills (communication, negotiation, influencing), with fluency in English. Local language skills are a plus.
