Job Description for Workday Extend Specialist

Our CFO (Chief Financial Officer) function manages the economic processes of our company. He is also responsible for legal issues and provides IT solutions for the entire Group. Our diverse team of dedicated employees is spread across multiple locations in all regions and supports the global IT system and application landscape for the Covestro HR function. Together as a team, we cover all aspects typically represented in IT: Business Demand Management, Application Development, and Operations and Maintenance. With this challenging work, we drive digitalisation in the Group.

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the Workday Extend roadmap within the IT&D HR landscape aligned with HR strategy.
• Stay updated on market developments related to Workday Extend.
• Develop a good understanding of the advanced presentation components of Workday Extend, including Data and Orchestration Services.
• Take global responsibility for the operational stability of Workday Extend applications and design solutions accordingly.
• Coordinate with IT&D and HR to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements for Extend applications.
• Define project scopes and plan their execution.
• Support existing Extend applications by managing incidents and improvements, and lead global projects for implementing Extend solutions.
• Oversee testing procedures, verification, release of Workday Extend applications, and ensure compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Degree in information technology, business informatics, or a related field.
• Experience as a Workday Extend Consultant, preferably with implementing new Extend solutions.
• Strong consulting and communication skills.
• Ability to participate effectively in multiple projects of varying sizes.
• Solution-oriented mindset and capability to work in a global team.
• Business fluent in English and German, with experience in project management methodologies (SDLC, Agile).
