OVERVIEW
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Account Executive to join our team who will support the day-to-day management of client accounts and contribute to the planning and delivery of high-impact press campaigns. This role is ideal for someone with knowledge and interest in the art and culture sector, a solid understanding and experience in media and communication, and a desire to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The Account Executive will contribute to A R T’s strategic communications services—press relations, content development, brand counsel, and digital strategy. She/he will bring strategic ideas and creative knowledge acquired in relation to her previous professional experience to internal company matters and select client projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic press campaigns
- Serve as a point of contact for select clients, supporting account leads in day-to-day communications and updates
- Draft press materials including press releases, announcements, and newsletters
- Research and pitch relevant journalists, editors, and publications, tailoring angles to individual contacts and media outlets
- Build and maintain A R T’s master media list specific to client needs and company goals
- Monitor media coverage, compile press clippings, and develop detailed reports
- Help prepare and manage client meetings, including agendas, notes, and follow-ups
- Coordinate logistics for interviews, media previews, and press visits
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and support ongoing research into art news, cultural and media trends
- Research new business opportunities and perform outreach to relevant targets
- Keep team systems and documents up-to-date and well-organized
- Regularly update A R T website features and content
- Provide counsel on improvements for A R T digital channels (including A R T website, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts)
- Perform market analyses and research
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data from digital presence
- Plan and manage A R T social media presence
- Produce, post, and promote stories and publications
- Engage and connect with relevant audiences
REQUIREMENTS
- 1–3 years of experience in public relations, communications, or media within the arts and cultural sector
- Strong knowledge of the media landscape, especially art, design, and lifestyle publications and journalists
- Existing contacts with journalists and editors in at least one region/market
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (knowledge of German and other languages is beneficial)
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute
- Confidence in communicating directly with clients, media, and collaborators
- A genuine interest in the cultural sector, especially contemporary art, design, and architecture
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Gmail, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop skills are preferred
