A day in the life
The Ops Tech Solutions team (OTS) provides ongoing tech support to all Amazon operational sites worldwide. Maintaining, upgrading, and securing the IT infrastructure and end-user devices requires diverse skills. Some team members are engineers developing solutions, while others hold management roles leading the tech support team to better assist end-users.
Our team balances performance and sustainability for all new solutions. Many members work on local sites. The team operates 24/7 to ensure support and perform maintenance with minimal business disruption.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Experience managing heterogeneous networks with Windows and Linux clients and servers
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, system integration, and working with third-party vendors
• Advanced English and German skills, both spoken and written
• Valid driver's license
• Additional industry certifications like ITIL, Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Microsoft (MCP, MCSE), or Linux (LPIC-1, LPIC-2)
• Experience working in a dynamic, customer-focused environment
• Knowledge of common network and internet protocols, including management, communication, and security protocols
• Experience with IT asset management and procurement

The OpsTech Solutions team (OTS) supports all Amazon operational sites globally. Maintaining, upgrading, and protecting the IT infrastructure and end-user devices requires diverse skills. Some members are specialists developing solutions, others are leaders managing the tech support team to ensure optimal support.
