About the Role

We are seeking a Vulnerability Management Specialist to join our Global Product Cybersecurity team. You will work closely with the Vulnerability Manager, CTI automation, pentesting team, and IT security. Your role involves identifying and prioritizing threats and vulnerabilities in our product environment and reporting to stakeholders. This position is technical, focusing on product security, not compliance.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with the global Vulnerability Management team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Analyze, rate, and confirm vulnerabilities reported by external researchers and identify new vulnerabilities based on business impact, prioritizing remediation.
  • Develop VM-related applications and scripts, ensuring software quality.
  • Manage application and infrastructure patching related to vulnerability remediation.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and incident response for critical vulnerabilities.
  • Mentor less experienced team members.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience (minimum 5 years in cybersecurity).
  • 3-5+ years in a technical cybersecurity role within corporate, military, or law enforcement environments.
  • Skills in IT, embedded systems, hardware testing, threat intelligence, or cybersecurity.
  • Strong integrity, teamwork influence, knowledge sharing, and excellence orientation.
  • Ability to work under pressure, participate in technical discussions, and advise on technical matters.
  • Experience in enhancing vulnerability management and incident response, especially in OT/ICS, embedded, or product contexts.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity standards, risks, and preventive strategies.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Ruby.
  • Understanding of software/hardware concepts and cybersecurity controls, frameworks, and terminology.
  • English proficiency (C1-C2); German is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Cybersecurity experience in IT/OT or automotive sectors.
  • Knowledge of standards like CC, FIPS, NIST.
  • Risk management expertise.
  • Participation in conferences, CTFs, publications, blogs, or repositories related to cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of CSIRT or PSIRT.

Eligibility

  • Willingness to travel up to 5%, domestic and international.
  • Willingness to work in Boeblingen, Germany.
