The Business Unit Europe Africa is one of TK Elevator's largest units, with its Regional Business Support Center in Dusseldorf, Germany. It coordinates activities across 20+ countries and manages a distributor network in Africa. The unit handles the sale, installation, servicing, and modernization of elevators, escalators, and moving walks. In select markets, the portfolio also includes home lifts and automatic door services. In FY 2022/2023, the unit employed about 14,000 staff and generated approximately €2.4 billion in sales. Responsibilities
  1. Support the implementation of the Safety Transformation Program across regions.
  2. Identify and prioritize critical risks that could lead to serious injuries or fatalities.
  3. Serve as the main contact for market clusters regarding Serious Injury and Fatalities (SIF).
  4. Ensure insights from incidents are understood and applied effectively.
  5. Assess the likelihood and impact of SIF events.
  6. Develop strategies to mitigate risks through improved safety controls and training.
  7. Collaborate with regional OSH managers to ensure consistent OSH standards implementation.
  8. Evaluate suppliers and contractors for OSH compliance.
  9. Promote a culture of continuous safety improvement based on stakeholder feedback.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Safety, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in complex environments, especially with installation projects and subcontractor management.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and risk management frameworks.
  • Proven incident investigation and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience leading distributed teams with subcontractors.
  • Background in multinational, multicultural settings.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
