For the winter term of 2025/26, we are seeking a professor (m/f/d) for the degree program Cyber Security at IU International University, limited to 2 years at our campus in Berlin, full-time (5 days on campus) or part-time (4 days on campus), starting on October 1st, 2025.

• You will represent the field of Cyber Security in teaching and research within the bachelor's degree program and become part of an extensive network in the field of higher education.
• You will develop and lead face-to-face lectures on campus and are responsible for the individual supervision of students during exams and thesis preparations.
• You will teach practice-oriented fundamental knowledge in Cyber Security and train students in areas like Cyber Security and Data Protection, Standards and Frameworks, Current Challenges of Cyber Security, and Secure Networking.
• You will contribute to the creative development of teaching formats within IU’s didactic concept and collaborate with colleagues to further develop these formats.

Your Profile

• You have completed a university degree in Cyber Security or a related field with outstanding academic performance and hold a relevant doctoral degree (Ph.D.).
• You have at least five years of practical work experience, including three years outside university, and may have initial experience in academic teaching.
• You demonstrate your expertise through publications or projects.
• You are team-oriented and reliable and are committed to in-person and virtual teaching.
• You reside permanently in Germany.
• You have English language skills at C1 level.

The employment requirements are governed by the Higher Education Law Thüringen.
