ABOUT THE JOB

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team or a practice team that enables software development skills and capabilities across all areas of the sites.

You will own the software products from conception to operation, supporting your team in delivering solutions that meet customer needs and taking full responsibility for applications from design to operation.

We seek someone with a strong passion for software engineering, craftsmanship, and a DevSecOps mindset. Excellent collaboration skills are essential to support the team in achieving high-quality results.

You should have the ability to understand and solve complex problems, take full ownership of initiatives, and aim for automation, clean architecture, and high quality with a customer-centric approach.

The role involves working in a cloud environment, especially AWS, developing resilient, high-performing cloud-native applications, leveraging AWS services and design patterns in a micro-service and micro-frontend landscape.

You will be involved in designing, building, testing, deploying software, and increasing automation efforts. Strong communication skills are necessary to articulate ideas and translate them into outcomes.

You will collaborate with Lead Software Engineers to research, evaluate, and test new approaches, processes, and tools, helping teams adopt them effectively.

Being well-connected within the broader TUI community and across relevant Practice Communities is important, along with a passion for working in an international, multicultural team.

You should challenge constructively, hold high expectations, and drive for technical excellence, ownership, and self-organization. Regular coaching and development of junior colleagues are expected, along with continuous learning to stay updated with latest developments.

Security is a fundamental part of the role, with a focus on practicing secure behaviors in all activities.

ABOUT YOU

• Deep knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and UI design principles
• Excellent understanding of web delivery design for positive user experience
• Deep understanding of front-end performance optimization
• Experience with resource-oriented APIs (REST) on client and server side
• Proficiency in C# and Microsoft .NET or PHP and WordPress
• Experience with data persistence (SQL/NOSQL/MySQL)
• Expertise in cloud design, infrastructure as code, and AWS services
• Good experience with CI/CD tools like GIT, TFS, Azure DevOps
• Ability to design, build, test, and deploy applications
• Customer-centric mindset, passionate about digital products and services
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Understanding social and ethical implications of software engineering
• Open-minded, inquisitive, lifelong learner
• Comfortable with ambiguity and highly autonomous
