Technical Team Lead – Backend Development (Java / Spring)

We’re hiring a Technical Team Lead for our client who has an experienced backend team of 6 engineers. You'll play a crucial part in enabling a senior team to thrive while guiding an architectural evolution and tech migration from a legacy PHP system to a modern Java / Spring / GCP- based setup.

Tech Stack & Requirements :

• Strong experience in Java and Spring , ideally within web / e-commerce environments
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms
• Ability to navigate and modernise legacy PHP systems (nice to have)
• Comfortable with architectural responsibility and strategic migration work
• Fluent in German

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of senior backend engineers, fostering a collaborative and empowered culture
• Drive technical excellence and architectural decisions, particularly around migration from legacy systems
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to align development efforts with business goals
• Conduct regular 1 : 1s, support professional growth, and manage performance and resources
