Job Description

Remote position (work from home) at English Business GmbH, located in Hamburg, Germany. We are a language service company and part of The Language Group (US).

We are currently seeking freelance translators for the following language combinations: German into Japanese and Japanese into German (sworn translations).

Requirements

We require reliable and experienced translators who meet at least one of the following criteria:

1. Have obtained a degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, or an equivalent degree including significant translation training, from a recognized higher education institution.
2. Have obtained a degree in any other field from a recognized higher education institution and possess the equivalent of two years of full-time professional translation experience.
3. Have the equivalent of five years of full-time professional translation experience.

Additional requirements include experience with CAT tools, specifically memoQ, for non-sworn translations.
