Job Description :
As part of the Field Applications Engineering team, you will serve as a primary technical contact for Micron's Automotive customers and various departments within Micron. This position is located in Munich, Germany.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to :
- Engaging with customer development teams to identify and support design-in activities, drive design wins, and qualify Micron Automotive products in customer applications.
- Providing technical support to customers and field sales, including troubleshooting, customer qualification, and issue resolution.
- Presenting and communicating customer-focused collateral (e.g., product specifications, design guides, datasheets, system compatibility guides).
- Acting as a trusted advisor by providing memory architecture advice, product recommendations, delivering technical trainings, and developing solutions, which may be executed independently or in collaboration with internal teams.
- Working closely with the Sales Account Team to develop and execute strategic plans and build relationships with key decision-makers at customer development teams.
- Assisting in troubleshooting and test support; serving as the central contact during system-related escalations between customers and factory teams, coordinating with cross-functional groups until issues are resolved.
- Collaborating with internal marketing and development teams to assess new products or features and ensure customer specifications are met.
- Coordinating lab activities supporting design-in and validation processes, including schematic reviews, design validation, and system-level testing.
Successful candidates for this position will have :
- At least 5 years of experience in electronic board and system design, product testing, system validation, application engineering, or memory.
- Systems experience in areas such as embedded hardware architecture design, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of volatile, non-volatile, and mass storage memories used in automotive or embedded systems (e.g., NOR, DRAM, mNAND, eMMC, UFS, SSD).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including lab testing and debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work independently or in teams.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers across disciplines and interact with customers at various levels, including executives.
- Fluent English skills (oral and written); German language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- Additional advantage if experienced in high-speed circuit design or previously worked as an applications engineer in a semiconductor company.
Education :
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field.
