What To Expect
Tesla Engineering Germany is seeking a highly motivated individual to manage new energy design engineering projects. This cross-functional role involves coordination within Tesla and with external partners.

In this position, you will define and develop new products, oversee modifications to existing ones, and guide projects from concept through prototype validation to production ramp-up. Your engineering expertise will help assess product requirements, evaluate technical risks, and develop strategies to expedite development. You will also communicate project status, identify schedule risks, and formulate recovery plans if delays occur.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy and contribute to enhancing organizational tools and processes for increased productivity.

What You'll Do

1. Understand and analyze technical stakeholder requirements, translating them into clear project scope, plans, and responsibilities.
2. Support engineers by coordinating and organizing tasks to enable focused development.
3. Develop and maintain project schedules, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions through careful planning and ongoing monitoring.
4. Manage and improve project reporting tools, including automating processes to enhance visibility on progress, risks, and changes.
5. Define and implement processes to improve risk management and document changes effectively.
6. Coordinate cross-functional teams for operation scoping, assessing needs, planning technically, evaluating options, and aligning with stakeholders and executives.
7. Oversee program costs related to R&D forecasts, COGS models, and monitor the financial impact of changes.

What You'll Bring

1. Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering field.
2. Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus for internal communication.
3. Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of managing multiple projects, prioritizing effectively, and acting decisively.
