We are seeking a talented and dynamic individual to join our team as a Manager, Market Access for the DACH region. This is a pivotal role where you will drive the strategic market access efforts for our products and contribute to our mission of improving patient lives.

Job Description

  • Responsible for local Market Access landscape (pricing, reimbursement, access, stakeholder mapping etc.)
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain a strategic market access plan for Santen products
  • Lead the HTA submission and authority consultations on behalf of the P&MA team
  • Design, prepare, and submit relevant documentation to public formularies at various levels (local, regional, hospital)
  • Build and manage relationships with key institutions, including HTA bodies, payer organizations, and payer advising KOLs at both national and local levels
  • Collaborate closely with the central EMEA Market Access team to manage the prices of Santen’s products
  • Provide support for business development and strategic portfolio management activities
  • Liaise effectively with local sales teams, surgical partners, and marketing functions to ensure alignment of goals and strategies

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the healthcare / life science industry at the German National level, including significant experience with AMNOG processes.
  • A deep understanding of pricing mechanisms and regulations in Germany, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of the German Federal Joint Committee (G-BA).
  • Proven experience in engaging with and managing relationships with price and reimbursement-related stakeholders.
  • A keen understanding of the interests of P&MA stakeholders, with a demonstrated ability to nurture and manage a substantial number of external relationships.
  • Proficiency in developing and coordinating government consultation documents, showcasing your ability to navigate regulatory and policy landscapes effectively.
  • Experience in ophthalmology, new launches, or medical devices desirable.
  • Fluency in German is crucial, and a good command of English is also required.
  • Strong communication abilities & excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
