For a multinational Meat-Food processing company:

  • Location: US West Coast territory, California and a few other states; travel would be regional. Living in Los Angeles reduces overnight travel due to high business volume in the area.
  • After training in Germany, you will relocate to the US or Canada.

Tasks
  • Provide exceptional customer service, making our client a trusted supplier for food processing and packaging solutions.
  • Support customers through installation, demonstration, new product support, training, and assisting the sales team.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Ensure customer and business support as a Sausage Maker Craftsman/Meat Scientist.
  • Travel extensively (domestic and international).
Requirements
  • Certificate, degree, or four-year college education in Meat Science/Sausage Making; Master Butcher certification preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Meat & Sausage Making Industry.
  • Some supervisory experience with managerial responsibilities is a plus.
  • Experience in large-scale protein product manufacturing (sausages, hams, salamis, poultry, turkey).
  • Experience with meat machinery or similar equipment.
  • Bi-lingual in German and English is desirable.
Responsibilities
  • Determine appropriate machine applications for customer manufacturing lines.
  • Travel to customer sites for installation and demonstration.
  • Educate customers on processed meat techniques.
  • Train colleagues in sausage making techniques.
  • Coordinate with the German subsidiary regarding equipment usage.
  • Become the product line expert for sausage making equipment and applications.

Introduce new products from Germany into the US sausage industry and explore other market applications such as fish or ice cream industries. Support other projects using your expertise.
