Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder has a great growth and leadership opportunity in its East Division Water Market Segment Manager.

Position Summary:

The preferred candidate will provide leadership for the Government Water Market Segment within the East Division. They will be responsible for assessing the segment including opportunities and risks, and then developing and executing a strategy to support market penetration. This includes identifying target clients, regulatory, economic, and need-driven opportunities, and assisting Area Managers in building a team capable of winning and profitably executing projects. They will ensure the use of a solid Go/No-Go decision process, identify subject matter experts critical to success, and leverage industry knowledge and professional guidelines to achieve goals and solve complex problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet or exceed sales, cost of sales, and profitability objectives for the Government Water Market Segment.
  • Plan annual goals and budgets for segment activities.
  • Analyze market drivers and identify new business opportunities for growth and profitability.
  • Identify conferences and overhead expenses necessary to achieve goals.
  • Assist in evaluating prospective clients and opportunities, ensuring sound business decisions.
  • Participate in proposal development, reviews, and mock interviews to ensure strong client value propositions.
  • Mentor Project Managers and Client Account Managers to enhance their business development skills.
  • Engage in recruiting, mentoring, coaching, and performance evaluations of team members.
  • Participate in relevant local organizations and conferences, actively contributing through committees and presentations.

EXPERIENCE & ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

  • B.S. in Engineering or related field required; Master’s/MBA preferred.
  • 15-20 years of related experience, including 5+ years in project management within consulting engineering, with knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Professional registration preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and knowledge of company services; experience with mergers and acquisitions is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $215,000, based on qualifications and experience, in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
