Amazon Logistics (AMZL) seeks an experienced, innovative, and customer-focused Software Development Engineer to lead the development of new robotic products for our Delivery Stations of the future. This role involves strategizing, defining, and managing software development for robotics technologies within the Amazon Logistics Innovation Engineering team, impacting the last mile automation roadmap by collaborating with Robotics, Software Tech Teams, Process Engineering, Operations, Facilities, and Engineering teams to enhance the customer shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop complex mechatronics products as part of a team of experts.
• Apply advanced technical expertise in industrial automation systems, communication protocols, and software development.
• Manage software development lifecycle, including design, integration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Coordinate software testing, commissioning, and scalability strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with international safety standards and manage certification processes.

About the Team:

You will oversee the development and continuous improvement of software libraries and applications for AMZL, working closely with Product Owners, System Developers, and other stakeholders to define software architecture, integrate new technologies, and coordinate testing and commissioning in the Innovation Center.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• Experience programming with languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Background in systems design, automation, and process improvement.
• Experience with Codesys and automation product development.
• Proven project management skills and ability to review electrical drawings and CAD tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
• Experience with Machine Learning, IoT, AI platforms.
