Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute user research, including interviews, surveys, usability tests, and contextual inquiries to understand user needs and behaviors.
- Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data, utilizing tools like SQL to query and extract relevant data for research purposes.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, marketing, and product managers to translate research insights into actionable design and product improvements.
- Advocate for user needs throughout the product development process, ensuring user-centered principles are incorporated.
- Communicate research findings effectively through presentations, user journeys, and profiles to stakeholders at all levels.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, new research methodologies, and tools.
Experience and Background:
- 2-3 years of experience in UX research with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Solid understanding of design and UX principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting research findings persuasively.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and experience querying databases like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Experience with various research techniques, including usability testing, surveys, interviews, and ethnographic studies.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive insights to inform design and product decisions; experience with segmentation is advantageous.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and product managers.
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., HCI, Psychology, Anthropology, Design) or equivalent work experience.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with advanced data analysis or statistical methods.
- Knowledge of UX design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
