Medical Scientist (MSL) Liver Diseases (m/f/d) – North-East, (Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden)

Essential Duties and Job Functions

An exciting opportunity to join our Medical Affairs team in Germany as a Medical Scientist (MSL) specializing in Liver Diseases in the North-East region. The successful candidate will oversee all medical aspects related to Liver Diseases to promote the growth of this asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively communicate and educate physicians and healthcare stakeholders about Liver Diseases, including organizing local educational events.
  • Understand the medical landscape in the assigned therapeutic area and gather insights from clinicians and researchers to inform medical strategies, including advisory board meetings.
  • Develop and implement regional action plans.
  • Collaborate with regional and national experts on various projects.
  • Support Gilead's clinical and real-world evidence studies by working with investigators and staff.
  • Deliver impactful scientific presentations in various settings using scientific resources.
  • Contribute to the development of educational materials like slide decks.
  • Travel frequently for appointments, meetings, and conferences, sometimes on short notice.
  • Present scientific and clinical data internally and externally.
  • Build strong relationships with opinion leaders, investigators, and healthcare providers in academic and non-academic settings.
  • Assist in site selection for clinical trials.
  • Anticipate and resolve obstacles in the field collaboratively.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across Sales, Marketing, Clinical Research, and Medical departments.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc).
  • Experience as a Medical Scientist or Medical Science Liaison preferred.
  • Ability to uphold Gilead’s ethical standards and patient-centric values.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge in Liver Diseases, Infectious Diseases, Virology, or Immunology is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with scientific data and regulatory requirements for field personnel.
  • Ability to work within multiple teams and deliver impactful presentations.
