Job Responsibilities :

The Multimedia Content Reviewer will write and review linguistic content in a language they have native-level proficiency in, ensuring the highest quality and accuracy for customers using multimedia platforms. Over time, the reviewer will become a cultural ambassador for their language market, producing fully localized content and flagging potential cultural issues, content types, wording, and suggesting improvements to make content appropriate and relevant for target markets.

The ideal candidate has a background in journalism or similar, with proven creative writing skills and keen attention to detail. Passion for music, film, tech, and familiarity with iOS and Mac OS devices are also desired.

MAIN DUTIES

• Localize, translate, and adapt content across various categories (apps, games, music, fitness, sports, movies) following style guides and guidelines.
• Create new copy for multimedia products such as music, TV, apps, video on demand, and game subscription services.
• Perform linguistic reviews of your own work and that of others in the localization team for all content types.
• Copyedit and fact-check content for accuracy.
• Conduct Localization QA (LQA) testing on live platform content (descriptions, marketing materials, campaigns).
• Research market-specific content trends, terminology, and localization best practices.
• Transcribe spoken content such as lyrics.
• Report on data and assets across media types.
• Create training materials and documents for new projects, ensuring team training on terminology, style, and best practices.
• Collaborate with global language teams via virtual meetings and emails to align on terminology, style, trends, and market insights.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in journalism, copywriting, or media content (proof of writing samples required).
• Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content.
• Ability to identify issues and inconsistencies quickly and make sound judgments.
• Wide knowledge of music, artists, TV, cinema, gaming, and pop culture.
• Confidence in linguistic decision-making.
• High attention to detail, with ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and native proficiency in German.
• Strong computer skills, familiarity with iOS/macOS is a plus.
• Capable of typing in native language using a standard keyboard.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Team-oriented and comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
