Job Description:

Your Tasks

• Design and plan high voltage cable systems from 11kV to 400kV, onshore and offshore.
• Produce cable system design calculations, cable rating calculations, thermomechanical and electromagnetic force calculations.
• Collaborate with CAD technicians on cable route layouts and trench cross sections.
• Act as lead cable engineer/planner, ensuring design compliance with local standards.
• Manage project scope, deliver on time and within budget.
• Work closely with UK design teams and support project delivery across Europe and the UK.

Your Profile

• Experience in design, calculations, reports, and drawings for HV power transmission systems, HVDC interconnectors, or HV renewable energy infrastructure in the DACH region.
• Full working proficiency in German and good level of English.
• Specialist knowledge in High Voltage Substations.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Basel and London offices.

Traveling activity

Projects typically last 6 to 24 months. Work locations vary between customer sites and home office, with opportunities to work in different cities and on various technologies.
