Operates an Exchange vehicle to deliver restaurant prepared food and beverage orders to customers on and off post/base housing and work areas on military installations. Job Qualifications: Completion of high school or the equivalent. Three months or more of satisfactory driving experience and a valid motor vehicle operator's license as required by local state laws and military regulations.
Additional Qualifications/Requirements: *Applicants must be 18 and over with a valid driver's license/SOFA permit.*
SOFA RELATED REQUIREMENTS/ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS: Applications will be accepted from all locally available U.S. citizens who do not have dual Japanese and U.S. citizenship. U.S. citizens with Japanese residency (e.g., “zairyu card” holders) must cancel their Japanese residency status to be employed in an Exchange U.S. payroll position with “SOFA status” under the U.S. – Japan Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA). With “SOFA status,” the selectee will be exempt from Japanese taxes on income earned from the Exchange, enjoy duty-free purchase privileges, and other benefits. However, they will also represent the United States in Japan and must conduct themselves appropriately, avoiding misconduct that could reflect negatively on the U.S. or the Exchange. Off-base criminal misconduct may lead to separation from employment.
Salary Range: $15.00 - $16.77 per hour
