Job Description:

The Foster Care In Home Case Manager is a full-time position (40 hrs/wk) responsible for providing case management services to children and families in Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone (Barnes & Stutsman Counties), with potential service in other zones. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing case management and foster care services using the Safety Framework Practice Model and the FRAME system.
  • Providing crisis intervention to maintain family stability.
  • Attending training and staff development.
  • Being on call for emergencies on a rotation basis.
  • Maintaining communication with agency staff and service providers.
  • Referring clients to additional services such as childcare, respite, financial aid, and parent aide services.
  • Providing transportation for clients as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, elementary education, early childhood education, special education, child development and family science, human resource management (human service track), or criminal justice, plus two years of professional human services experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or case manager. A Master’s degree in these fields may substitute for one year of experience.

Individuals may be required to work non-traditional hours and must be able to visit clients at home and provide transportation using their own vehicle. A criminal background check and driver’s record check are required prior to employment. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance is also required.
