Objective of the Role

Drive revenue growth by selling ResearchGate Marketing solutions, from cold calling to closing deals and ensuring smooth campaign activation.

The Team

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will join a successful, collaborative international team dedicated to connecting researchers with tools that accelerate their vital work.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive revenue growth by selling ResearchGate Marketing solutions, managing the process from cold calling to closing and campaign activation.
  2. Consult with clients to identify their advertising goals and propose suitable RG solutions.
  3. Retain customers by upselling additional campaigns during and after initial activation.
  4. Negotiate contracts, including scope of work and timelines.
  5. Prospect, network, build trust, expand relationships, and generate new business through Account Development Plans.
  6. Support RG Account Managers in managing relationships with operational contacts and own relationships with customer stakeholders and decision-makers.
  7. Collaborate with Account Managers across teams to optimize outcomes for customers’ RG advertising.

Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  2. A natural seller with strong discovery, active listening, negotiation, and closing skills.
  3. Ability to manage multiple accounts while seeking new opportunities.
  4. Experience prospecting new clients using sales tools such as Salesloft, ZoomInfo, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships.
  6. Curiosity about customers, science, and technology.
  7. Experience selling digital marketing solutions to enterprise life science companies is preferred.
