Job Description:

The Global Business Lead is responsible for managing a team of CDMO modality Business Leads. They will develop and implement long-term business plans for each CDMO modality, manage short-term goals, and oversee the P&L of their modalities. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, including Operations and manufacturing sites, to establish strategies, differentiate service offerings, and define investments, R&D portfolios, marketing strategies, and go-to-market plans.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Strategy & Market Intelligence: Maintain understanding of global markets, support market & competitor assessments, VOC, and positioning studies. Develop modality strategies, including business plans, growth ambitions, and operational capabilities.
  2. Strategy Execution: Build business cases for innovations and investments, and oversee their execution.
  3. Services Portfolio & Lifecycle: Define and evolve service offerings, business models, and value creation strategies. Drive development of new offerings through innovation, partnerships, licensing, and M&A activities.
  4. Go-to-Market / Marketing Plan: Define GTM strategies, develop marketing campaigns, and advise on customer and opportunity selection.
  5. Pricing & Contracting: Develop pricing strategies, manage pricing governance, support price increase campaigns, and review large contracts and margin targets.
Who you are:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and an advanced degree (Masters / Ph.D.) in Chemistry, Biologics Sciences, Biotech/Life Science, or related fields. An MBA or marketing/sales management concepts are a plus.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in the CDMO or equivalent services industry.
  • Full P&L management experience.
  • Strong experience with matrix teams and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Leadership skills in change management, influencing, and talent development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and coaching skills.
  • Proven ability to build and grow high-performing teams.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and a diversity mindset.
