We are offering a position as Project Specialist (m/f/d) at our Bremen location for our division DSV Air & Sea GmbH.

What do we do? And what makes our area so diverse and interesting?

In Projects, it's not about standard transport by truck or regular container ships. We are the creators of solutions for special oversized projects. For example, how is a wind turbine blade transported from Asia to Europe? How are large plant components delivered to India? How do we supply a hospital with oversized components in Manhattan?
We deal with such questions daily and tailor suitable transport concepts for our clients. You won't just be managing projects on the computer or over the phone; it's equally important to show your face and demonstrate our capabilities on-site with our clients. You may also oversee loading transports directly at various locations worldwide, including within Germany, Europe, Asia, or elsewhere.

We welcome applications from candidates with extensive experience or those with a training as a forwarding and logistics services merchant and initial project work insights. Enthusiasm and interest in creative work are essential.

Your Tasks in Sea Freight Projects

• Act as an independent advisor and supporter for our clients, including on-site visits
• Prepare transport orders and project shipments independently
• Coordinate export, import, and cross-trade processes
• Take responsibility for and independently implement and optimize project transport concepts
• Oversee loading operations, possibly abroad
• Maintain close communication with national and international DSV branches as a project coordinator
• Prepare quotes for project shipments across all routes
• Monitor market developments and stay updated

What you bring to the table

• Training as a forwarding and logistics services merchant (m/f/d)
• Ideally some professional experience in the relevant areas
• Contacts with shipping companies and market knowledge in various trades
• Experience and skill in dealing with suppliers and service providers
• Proficiency in Office software and good command of English (spoken and written)
• Strong communication skills, customer service orientation
• Persistence and resilience in project work
• Time management, flexibility, and team spirit
