Job Description:

As an Application Engineer in the MCU tools and Ecosystem team, you will manage the development and production of new evaluation and solution boards for the automotive MCU series. You will also play a key role in defining new solution boards by working closely with customer engineering teams and Renesas application engineering, marketing, and tool supply teams.

In your role, you will:

1. Act as a global team member to create new Renesas automotive solutions.
2. Collaborate internally with Application Engineers and Product Marketers, and externally with customers and partners to develop system demonstrators combining software and hardware, including documentation.
3. Provide application training to FAE, Sales, Distributors, and customers.
4. Present Renesas’ technologies, products, and applications in technical seminars.
5. Manage development and production of solutions.

Qualifications:

1. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.
3. Understanding of automotive system technical requirements and ability to propose optimized products and solutions.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, development tools, and ecosystems.
5. Good understanding of schematics, layouts, and digital components.
6. Motivated to initiate and drive projects to completion, with an openness to working in an international environment.
7. Strong understanding of technical requirements and customer expectations.
8. Basic knowledge of development and manufacturing costs for evaluating system solutions.
9. Leadership skills to guide project development and negotiate solutions.
10. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
11. Creativity and team spirit.
