The Opportunity:

A well-designed voice network is critical for the Air Force to achieve its missions. We are seeking an experienced VoIP engineer to design, secure, and optimize voice systems supporting this mission.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing VoIP services, SATCOM operations, configuring Palo Alto Firewalls, and managing security devices, switches, and routers.
• Configuring, designing, documenting, and troubleshooting VoIP services across multiple sites.
• Upgrading and modernizing enterprise voice infrastructures.
• Analyzing systems for performance and security gaps.
• Ensuring reliable and secure communications for national security missions.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• VoIP systems, call signaling protocols, and cybersecurity for voice services.
• Telecommunication technologies, network configurations, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Voice Gateways, SIP Trunking.
• Designing and maintaining VoIP architecture, installing hardware, troubleshooting voice issues.
• Experience with Cisco CUCM, Firewalls, LAN/WAN/SATCOM networking.

Shift Work: This role requires 24/7 support across three sites, including configuring SIP trunks and firewalls for tactical access.

Installation and Maintenance:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree + 5+ years experience with VoIP or 8+ years experience in lieu of degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ or CCNA Voice).
