Description
We are looking for a talented Warranty Analyst to join our team specializing in Service for Cummins in Nuernberg, Bayern, Germany.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- You will become part of the current product engineering team and act as our warranty adjudicator for the eMobility traction products.
- After a period of training and collaboration with our various departments, you will grow in your role.
- You will be the central point of contact for warranty decisions for the eMobility traction products (motors, inverters, eAxles, etc.) for international customers.
- You will work closely with other departments within the organization (Quality, Order Management, Repair shop, Operations, etc.).
- Based on this collaboration, you will build up a good technical knowledge of our products. This knowledge is an asset for making warranty decisions and writing the reports.
- Based on the technical findings of external and internal stakeholders, you will prepare the final warranty decision towards customers.
- You will manage different warranty claim contracts for multiple international customers.
- You will participate in continuous improvement efforts and standard work development for the warranty decision-making team.
- Sporadically, you will support the current product support team with diagnostic investigations on products, vehicles, and systems.
- You prioritize safety in all activities with the objective of injury-free living.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- You hold at least a bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, electro-mechanical engineering, or an equivalent field, or have equivalent work experience in field service engineering.
- Proven technical experience (electric motors, inverters, automotive, etc.).
- Proven automotive experience and warranty handling experience.
- Experience in automotive and handling warranty claims.
- Basic to intermediate relevant work experience is preferred. Prior experience in a technical role is advantageous.
- An understanding of automotive, automation, electromechanics, and electricity is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
- The ability to translate technical findings into understandable reports for customers.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships inside and outside the organization.
- Commitment to meeting deadlines and holding self and others accountable.
- Demonstrated initiative and a desire for growth and challenge using various development channels.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- College, university, or equivalent experience required.
- Intermediate relevant work experience, including Call Center Representative experience, required.
