General information

We are looking for a Manager Controlling (f/m/d) to immediately join the finance department at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. The job posting covers typical range of activities of a controller and is aimed at talented people (f/m/d) with an affinity for numbers and data and a strong inclination towards analytical and conceptual problem solving.

Your mission

• Development and optimization of data analyses, dashboards and reports to support data-driven decisions
• Use and further development of digital solutions for the area ofcontrolling, e.g. setting up and maintaining information systems such as PowerBI, data warehouses and preferably AI to control operational processes
• Carrying out deviation analyses, forecasts and budget planning
• Support in the digitalization and automation of controlling processes
• Close cooperation with cost center managers and decision-makers as well as advice on the definition of university goals and KPIs

Your profile

• Successfully completed university degree in economics, business informatics or comparable qualifications
• Confident use of MS Office, ideally knowledge of programming languagessuch as Python and experienced in dealing with AI
• Sound knowledge of controlling, data analysis and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL)
• Several years of professional experience in controlling, data analytics is desirable
• Experience in dealing with large amounts of data and analytical technologies
• High affinity for numbers and strong analytical skills as well as strong communication skills
• Independent and forward-looking way of working
• Ability to work in a team and very good communication skills in German and English
