If you want to experience how things are done in the Reinsurance Accounting & Valuation team at our headquarters in Hannover, Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 24 months as an Accountant Reinsurance US, starting as soon as possible.
You can look forward to
You will be responsible for processing statements of account and claims for the US Casualty business, as well as maintaining the accounts of our business partners.
- Processing statements of account, including technical scrutiny, and claims processing for US Casualty business
- Correspondence and reconciliation with internal interfaces and external customers
- Electronic archiving of documents
- Maintaining accounts set up for our business partners, including necessary correspondence to clarify open transactions
- Processing balances for completeness and transferring the calculated balances to SAP or initiating payments manually
- Processing broker statements and statements submitted by direct companies
- Initiating the creation of new bank accounts
- Processing payments, including settlement of accounts, payment and exchange rate differences
- Reminding about outstanding items and processing payments and technical postings that cannot be clearly allocated, as well as special payment-related cases
You come equipped with
- Degree in business administration or commercial training
- Initial experience in accounting (e.g., insurance, banking, tax) and in expert processing of statements of account is an asset
- Curiosity to familiarize yourself with different IT landscapes
- Good Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Independent user skills in German and English
- Very good numerical reasoning and analytical thinking skills
- Self-reliant and independent working style
- Service-minded approach to internal and external customers
