Field Sales Manager – Germany

This position is responsible for business development in Europe/Germany, focusing primarily on General Cargo and Chemicals manufacturers. The role involves identifying, quantifying, and selling to new accounts, establishing long-term relationships with customers, and collaborating with regional teams. The position reports remotely to the General Manager, Sales & Marketing, at our Head Office in Shanghai, China.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Own sales and business development efforts in Europe/Germany to meet sales targets by expanding business with existing and potential customers.
  2. Leverage industry knowledge to assess supply chain needs, develop strategic proposals, and participate in customer requests for information, quotations, and proposals (RFI, RFQ, RFP).
  3. Build and maintain long-term partnerships with target accounts, translating company capabilities into customer value and expanding account share.
  4. Create tailored solutions to reduce logistics costs while enhancing sales to current and new clients.
  5. Collaborate with regional teams and utilize all available group resources to transfer knowledge about potential clients.
  6. Maintain ongoing relationships with customers to encourage contract renewals, extensions, or new RFQ issuance.
  7. Stay informed about industry trends, market activities, government regulations, and the competitive landscape.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. At least three years of sales or key account management experience in logistics, preferably in the chemical sector.
  2. Excellent time management, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills.
  3. Strong business acumen with a focus on driving growth.
  4. Team player, result-oriented, open-minded, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Proven track record in business development.
  6. Established relationships with customers and suppliers are advantageous.
  7. Fluent in English; proficiency in German or Chinese is preferred.
  8. Eligible to work in Germany.
  9. University degree preferred.
  10. Willing to travel up to 25%.
