The Site Lead (SL), in coordination with the Regional Director and Assistant Director, oversees day-to-day operations of a specific field site. The SL is the direct supervisor for local staff and manages staff performance and administrative functions in Workday. The SL collaborates with Regional Leadership, Education Service Officers (ESO), Education Center personnel, and the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) administrative offices to administer programs and services. Responsibilities also include program coordination such as student support services and National Test Center (NTC) services, managing student cases in Salesforce, data entry, outreach, marketing, and maintaining student records.

Specific Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and lead staff at the assigned site.
  2. Work from the field site office, be available during core hours and evenings/weekends as needed; some travel required.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders for operational needs, escalating issues when necessary.
  4. Provide academic and administrative support, ensuring quality standards are met through courteous, knowledgeable, and responsive service.
  5. Enter all student and lead interactions in Salesforce and schedule follow-up activities.
  6. Manage student business processes including outreach and recruitment.
  7. Address staff concerns and escalate when appropriate.
  8. Coordinate with departments to troubleshoot faculty and student concerns.
  9. Schedule and proctor NTC exams, ensuring quality assurance through coordination with the NTC point of contact.
  10. Build relationships with host military Education Services Officers and local education center staff.
  11. Represent UMGC at official functions such as education fairs, open houses, and graduations.
  12. Ensure classrooms are adequately equipped and prepared for instruction.
  13. Manage staff and office schedules to support the UMGC community.
  14. Support onboarding and training of new staff through mentorship.
  15. Assist with class scheduling, including providing recommendations and tracking student populations.
  16. Act as backup for the Assistant Director when absent.
  17. Keep staff informed of key updates and developments.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills in verbal, written, and interpersonal forms.
  • Ability to adapt to local rules and practices in foreign countries.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree from a US regionally accredited institution or equivalent.
  • Experience with CRM and student information systems.
  • Experience managing teams in higher education or customer service settings.
  • Minimum six months of academic and administrative experience at a college or university.
  • Experience as a program coordinator with UMGC or similar institutions.
  • Experience in student recruitment and outreach.
  • Valid local driver's license and ability to obtain a military driver's permit.
