Responsibilities
Pre-Contract Responsibilities
  • Preparing capital cost estimates
  • Advising on building economics
  • Producing lifecycle cost estimates
  • Advising on tendering procedures and contract arrangements
  • Drafting contract packages including amendments to standard forms
  • Preparing pricing documents for tender packages
During Tendering
  • Providing advice on tendering procedures
  • Drafting instructions to tenderers
  • Developing tender evaluation criteria
  • Drafting PQQ questionnaires
  • Handling queries during the tender period
  • Conducting commercial evaluation of submissions
  • Negotiating with tenderers
Post-Contract Duties
  • Valuing on-site progress for interim certificates
  • Determining amounts due to contractors for price variations
  • Valuing proposed instructions
  • Drafting responses to contractors’ correspondence
  • Determining claim amounts
  • Expediting contractors’ insurances, bonds, and collateral warranties
  • Valuating contractors’ final accounts
Qualifications
  • Quantity Surveying Degree or similar qualification
  • Extensive multi-sectoral experience, including life sciences, mission-critical, and industrial sectors
  • Ability to handle complex issues and communicate clearly and concisely
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in pre- and post-contract duties
  • Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills
