Job Description:

This position can be based in London, Munich, or Madrid.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our EU Books team as the EU lead Account Manager (internal title: Strategic Brand Specialist) for our Amazon Vendor Service (AVS) program. You will manage one of our biggest and most strategic vendors in Books, acting as a consultant and influential partner for senior stakeholders to drive long-term growth.

Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) is a paid B2B service that helps strategically grow complex brands on Amazon. You will gain holistic exposure to e-commerce operations at a European level. Your responsibilities include serving as the lead Account Manager for top-priority vendors, ensuring high-quality account management, and collaborating cross-functionally to design and execute long-term strategies. You will provide guidance to the account team, drive promotional activities, define success metrics, and propose innovative solutions to shape AVS's future. Additionally, you will work with external decision-makers and internal teams to identify new business opportunities and elevate our service.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and nurture strategic, long-term vendor relationships by delivering exceptional account management that maximizes vendor satisfaction.
  • Identify impactful business opportunities that enhance vendor and customer experiences.
  • Design and execute business strategies across multiple marketplaces and categories, coordinating large cross-functional teams.
  • Set and monitor metric goals, ensuring the account team is equipped for success.
  • Provide strategic insights based on industry expertise to shape long-term partnerships.
  • Identify new growth opportunities and create customized solutions for scaling.
  • Partner with internal teams to drive strategic vendor discussions.

Basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of Retail or E-Commerce Account Management experience.
  • Experience managing a business with P&L responsibilities.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse functional groups.
  • Proven results delivery in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Strong relationship-building skills internally and externally.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects end-to-end.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills (minimum C1 level).
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Spanish or German.
  • Experience with analytical and productivity tools like Salesforce, Google Analytics, SQL, HTML, or content management systems.
  • Data analysis, reporting, and forecasting skills.
  • Master’s/MBA from a leading business school is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and results-driven approach.
  • Experience in the Books industry is highly beneficial.
